I was a happy young’un, going about my life.

I had just finished grad school.

Then one day, I woke up in this adjunct chain gang.

Still, we thought we were going to be respected educators, shaping America’s future.

Some adjuncts had to take other jobs, like waiting tables.

We begged for classes.
